To gain relevant and practical information for informed decision-making
A robust program of educational lectures and workshops is an important component of the CancerPartners mission to empower with knowledge. The talks are presented year-round by highly credentialed speakers, including prominent physicians and other healthcare professionals.
These professionals present a wide range of topics relevant to those whose lives are impacted by cancer. Information shared may be on specific cancer diagnoses, psychosocial and emotional issues, family concerns, integrative medicine, cancer prevention, death and dying, and practical aspects of dealing with cancer such as insurance, disability benefits, and advance directives. There is always an opportunity for participants to ask questions and share their own experiences.
When you’re battling cancer, you’re in the hospital a lot -- and it’s not your favorite place to be. Gilda’s (now CancerPartners) provides a completely different environment, where people feel safe.
